I partner and teach with Duke’s Data+. I work with students on how to present their medical or mathematical findings in a cohesive and appealing way for the camera. I teach camera angles, lighting set up, total physical response as well as how to anticipate reporter behavior, avoid common traps, and confidently focus on their messaging.
Clinician, Women’s Theatre Festival Con 2020
I will be leading “Choreography for the Virtual World”. Choreography for a Virtual World discusses how to teach Choreography or dance through virtual mediums. It will explain the best practices for holding a choreography rehearsal and how to teach choreography for film, stage or auditions all while using virtual mediums. In depth, it will examine the best mediums, camera angles and audio equipment to use as well as how to approach solos, group numbers, partner work, class participation, notes and criticism.
Acting and Dance Coach
I Teach acting for T.V and Film as well as Stage to all ages. I Coach, create and tailor audition packages for students in singing, acting, and dancing for professional programs and universities. I coach actors privately in productions, music videos, including actors with The New Jersey Performing Arts Center. I use my knowledge of Physical acting, dancing, and body awareness to create and find a character or just improve storytelling and convey a message in an easier and more efficient way. If you want or need to learn how to walk like johnny Cash or how to dance like Gwen Vernon, I’m the one to break it down for you and teach you reason, function and mechanic behind each motion.
Choreographer/Teacher, North Carolina State University January 2015 – October 2019
Choreographed and led more than 35 cast members in their professional summer series. Collaborated with production staff, Music Directors, Technical directors, and others. Planned and led Choreography rehearsals. Taught mock audition classes to undergrad students. I also tech Musical Theatre Dance with Wake Forest Academy of Fine Arts as well as Franklin Academy High School.

Worked with Wake County Public Schools, using the arts to help students develop Healthy relationships with themselves and others. With trauma-informed practices I guided group discussions on how to create resolutions or pathway plans.
